American rapper and Power exec, 50 Cent, had a moment of sober reflection yesterday as he took to Instagram to share a post about the recent death of a crew member.

Pedro Jimenez, 63, was killed on-set Monday morning (December 10) while setting up a scene in Brooklyn. Upon hearing the news, the 50 sent his condolences to the Jimenez family.
“I just learned we lost Pedro Jimenez, a member of the Power production team early this morning,” he wrote alongside an all-black photo.”My prayers and condolences are with the entire Jimenez family.”
Other members of the Power cast also took to their platforms to share sentiments concerning the tragic incident. Actress/singer Naturi Naughton — who plays the role of Tasha St. Patrick — also expressed her sorrow on Instagram.
“Truly shocked and saddened!” she wrote. “Losing one of our own really hit home today! Tomorrow is not promised y’all! Live fully today! My thoughts and prayers are with the Jimenez family! #speechless #prayersUp.”
Jimenez had worked for the show since 2014 was reportedly struck by a 2006 Ford Explorer while lining up parking cones at the filming location. After being transported to a local hospital, he was soon pronounced dead.
The production has since been shut down until further notice while law enforcement says they have begun an investigation into the incident.
