- Ibinabo Fiberesima’s election as AGN president was annulled by a Federal High Court in Lagos today, March 16, 2015, with the Presiding judge, Justice James Tsoho delivering the ruling early this morning.
- The suit demanding her removal was filed by a Nollywood actor identified as St. Maradona Mikevine.
- Although relatively unknown to most people in the industry, Mikevine had served as the National Treasurer in the faction of the AGN led by popular Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike.
- The election that saw Ibinabo emerge president of the Guild was reportedly conducted against a restraining order obtained in 2011 by the then factional president, Emeka Ike. The election was conducted by the Guild’s former president, Segun Arinze and the board led by Ifeanyi Dikeh.
