The Now Musik boss confirmed this in a phone interview with NET where he stated that the case was a civil suit and that process was still on going. He also said that the move was necessitated after they had explored all available channels to get Blackface to desist from making defamatory statements and allegations against their person.
Mr Omorogbe said, ‘Blackface has been repeatedly making statements that we consider defamatory and if he will not desist, then maybe the court can help us to get him to’
Blackface is accusing 2Baba and his manager of song theft and copyright infringement claiming he was responsible for writing the hit tracks ‘African Queen’ and ‘Let Somebody Love You’ as performed by 2Baba.
