And may the odds be ever in our favour.
The year is slowly coming to an end and very soon, ‘Best of 2017’ mixes will be everywhere. Before that season becomes a reality, let’s share our list of divas we’d like to see come together on a track.
May the odds be ever in our favour.
1. Beyoncé and Rihanna
We’ve been patient enough with these two, haven’t we? Year after year, rumours of a collaboration come and we get our hopes up only to have them dashed.
If this year comes and goes without Queen Bey and Bad Girl Riri entering the studio together, we will start a protest. Believe that!
2. Simi and Seyi Shay
Everything about this collaboration just makes sense. It’s no secret that the two singers have killer voices, so add some minimal alternative production to the mix and without a doubt, you’ll get a fortified hit.
3. Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma
There would be no better way to end this overdrawn and generally, unnecessary beef. The two rappers can spit fire so if they joined forces, they’ll turn the internet into an inferno.
4. Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade
Without a doubt, these are the two biggest female acts in Nigeria so fans definitely deserve this. With Yemi’s sass and Tiwa’s swag, this will definitely be a jam like no other.
5. Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey
Speaking of overdrawn feuds, Mimi and J. Lo’s ‘diva off’ needs to end in a grand way and there’s no grander way to end such a feud than a sassy ol’ record. It’s very unlikely that Mariah will be willing to bury this hatchet and become besties with J. Lo but we have hope. Stranger things have happened.
6. Omawumi and Waje
It really is hard to believe that these two besties don’t have a record together. They both have vocals and energy for days so what’s in the way? We hope they figure it out before New Year’s Day.
7. Fifth Harmony and Justine Skye
This collaboration would be a wish come true for all millennials. The two rising acts would knock it out of the park and give us a sure powerful pop girl-anthem ear candy.
