The Oyo State Government has announced the funeral obsequies for late veteran performer, writer and filmmaker, Adebayo Faleti.
In an announcement made by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Toye Arulogun, Baba Faleti as he was fondly referred to is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 5, 2017 with a day of tributes and performances at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
The commendation service for Alagba Faleti will hold on Wednesday, September 6 at the Salem Baptist Church, Yemetu by 12pm while there will be the lying-in-state at his residence on Thursday, September 7, by 8am; lying-in-state at the BCOS, Ile Akede by 10am; and at NTA Ibadan at 11am.
Arulogun added that the Nollywood legend’s remains would leave for Oyo town for Service of Songs/Christian Wake at the First Baptist Church, Isokun, Oyo on Thursday, September 7. At Oyo town, there will be an Artist Night at Plaza De Haruna, Oyo by 8pm.
The final burial ceremony service for Adebayo Faleti will then hold on Friday, September 8, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, Isokun while internment will hold at Agboye Village, Oyo state.
Faleti died on July 23, 2017 in Ibadan at the age of 86.
