The maiden edition of Eko Comedy Festival wrapped up on Thursday, May 25. The two-day event comprised a workshop and a conference.
The first day was a workshop where aspiring comedians learnt different comedy, oratorial and social media skills from Teju Babyface, Bisi Olatilo, Ayeni Adekunle and Basorge Tariah jr.
The day was capped off with a novelty football match.
The conference held of the second day of the festival and was kicked off by the keynote speaker, Steve Babaeko, founder of X3M group.
He was joined by Yinka Adebayo of Media Reach OMD and Chris Ihidero for the first panel.
The second session, Stand-Up Comedy: The Issues and Prospects, moderated by Lepacious Bose, was made up of Bunmi Davies, Koffi Idowu and Owen Gee as panelists.
The third session and final session comprised Mena Ajakpovi, Kene Mkparu, Yomi Badejo Okunsanya, Bovi, Hafiz ‘Saka’ Oyetoro and was moderated by Alariwo.
After the conference, there was a concert where upcoming comedians were given an opportunity to showcase their talents.
