We've lost a few well before their time.
Days ago, news broke that Gospel singer and former Idols West Africa contestant, Eric Arubayi had passed on.
Thousands of condolence messages began to pour in for the Star everywhere on social media.
Eric had come into people’s consciousness through the 2007 West African Idols show and even though he went the gospel route after then, it was what most people talked about when they paid respects.
However, he is not the only one who died after partaking in a major reality show.
Below are the other ex-contestants of a show that broke numerous hearts across the continent when they died.
Susan ‘Goldie’ Harvey
Back in 2012, Goldie was a contestant on the Big Brother Africa show. Already a singer signed to Kennis Music, the star had her own fan base before joining the reality show.
Months after leaving the house though, on February 14, 2013, Goldie passed on. She had just returned from LA where she attended the Grammys.
The singer was just 29.
Two years after contesting on Koko Mansion, Chidinma Mbalaso passed on.
