Rebecca Ferguson is willing to perform at the inauguration ceremony of the US President-elect, Donald Trump but on one condition.

The British singer wants to perform the song, ‘Strange Fruit’ at the inauguration.

‘Strange Fruit’ is a song that was originally a poem- written by Abel Meeropol – that deals with the lynchings of African-Americans in the 20th century in the United States.

It was first recorded as a song by Billie Holliday, and later also recorded by others, including Nina Simone.

No response yet from Donald Trump or his Twitter account as whether she would be allowed to perform the song.
