Madonna reveals plan to do stand-up comedy and to direct another movie.
Madonna did a spread shot for Harper’s Bazaar recently and she disclosed that she would like to try her hand at stand-up comedy this year.
When she was interviewed, the 58-year-old singer talked about her life and what she would still like to do.
The seven-time Grammy winner also said that people think she has had it easy considering she is ‘a successful white, wealthy pop star’, but the truth is that she has ‘always felt oppressed.’
She said she makes people uncomfortable because she has an unconventional family, lovers half her age and is an activist for gay rights.
Then she went on to say that she wanted to try her hand at stand-up comedy this year. She said: ‘I’m liking the idea more and more of just standing up with a microphone and talking. I keep telling (my former opener) Amy Schumer and Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock that I’m going to do stand-up and they’d better watch out. I’m coming. I’m coming right behind them.’
Madonna has also written Loved, a big-screen adaptation of Andrew Sean Greer‘s 2013 novel The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells. She has plans to direct it later soon.
