From Wednesday October 26-27, 2016, in Abuja, EiE Nigeria, Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN) and BudgIT will host the ‘New Media, Citizens & Governance Conference’.
EiE first co-hosted a new media and governance conference in 2012, bringing together the academia, political institutions, private sector, civil society to examine new ways of using social media for better governances and citizen engagement.
This year’s conference will be opened by Kaduna State governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and former minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili and have several panel sessions.
Other speakers at the include J.J. Omojuwa, Mrs. Joe Odumakin, Tolu Ogunlesi, Femi Falodun of ID Africa, Ayeni Adekunle of BlackHouse Media, comedian Frank Donga and of course Snapchat sensation, Bobrisky.
Other speakers such as Subomi Plumptre of Alder Consulting and Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant to the President on Social Media, scheduled to speak at the event, have pulled out because of Bobrisky’s inclusion.
