The 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place last night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the Emmys celebrate the best in US prime-time television programming from the past 12 months.

Game of Thrones along with other HBO shows had a total of 94 nominations, with FX in second place with 56, including five for The Americans, 18 for Fargo and 22 nominations for The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

With three wins on the night, Game of Thrones became the series with the most wins ever in the comedy or drama categories with 38 awards, eclipsing Frasier which previously held the Emmys record with 37 awards.
