Gbenro Ajibade and Osas Ighodaro
The Tinsel couple began their journey to matrimony with a grand traditional Edo/Yoruba wedding in Benin City on June 20, 2015.
The colourful gathering had a large turnout of celebrities like AY, Ushbebe, Emmanuel Ikubese, Chigul, Waje, Cynthia Morgan, Timaya, Ozzy Agu, Stephanie Coker, Linda Ejiofor, Tarmar Awobotu, I Go Dye, Elenu, Gideon Okeke, Bryan Okwara, Toni Tones, Ifan, Vina Akpofure, Taje Prest, Chinyere Adogu and more. The event, which was anchored by Comedians AY and Ushbebe, saw Cynthia Morgan and Waje perform.
The next stop was New York, where the beautiful couple conducted their church wedding and reception on Saturday, July 4. The reception was equally graced by Nigerian celebrities like Praiz, Dr SID, Ubi Franklin, Annie Idibia, Seyi Shay among others.

Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro
After a glamorous traditional wedding which held on October 30, the head honcho of MMMG; Ubi Franklin, and his actress beau; Lilian Esoro had their much anticipated church wedding and reception on Sunday, November 1, 2015. The white wedding took place at Apostle Anselm Madubuko’s Revival Assembly Church, Ogba, Lagos, while the reception held at The Imperial, Lekki Colliseum, Lekki Phase 1.
From the 4-tiered cake to the colourful decoration and the quality of guests in attendance, everything was on point.

Lilian had a star-studded cast of bridesmaids: Osas Ighodaro, Linda Ejiofor, Ovire Peggy and Ini Dima-Okojie, Monique Samuel and Anita Davies, while Ubi’s groomsmen included Kamal Ajiboye, Gbenro Ajibade, Obi Eze, Selebobo, Tekno and Baci.
The expensive wedding had in attendance the likes of Dj Jimmy Jatt, 2face Idibia, Tiwa Savage, Sound Sultan, Ill Bliss, Ali Baba, P- Square among others.

Duncan Mighty
Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State, was brought to a standstill when ‘Obianuju’ singer, Duncan Mighty exchanged vows with his girlfriend Vivien on July 25, 2015. It was expected, because he’s the Garden City’s biggest music star and the glamour of the wedding once again underlined his status as the Port Harcourt First Son.
Held at Duncan Mighty Drive, Eligbam, Port Harcourt, the African-styled wedding was graced by top politicians and celebrities from all walks of life and they had enough to drink and eat.

Guests include former AGN boss, Ejike Asiegbu, Mike Ezuronye, Phyno, Sammy Okposo, Faze and Patoranking, who serenaded the couple with his hit song, My Woman, My Everything.

Adegbite Sijuwade and Dolapo Oni
With an assembly of what wedding planners describe as ‘royal class’ the wedding of Late Ooni of Ife, Okunade Sijuwade’s son, Adegbite and TV gal, Dolapo Oni, is one to beat. Even the demise of the of the groom’s dad a week before the wedding did not take any shine off the wedding.
Held at the Landmark Events Centre, Oniru, Victoria Island in Lagos, on August 2, the event, which was graced by Ekiiti State governor, Ayo Fayose and Senator Buruji Kashamu, was royal and classy in all ways.
The groom’s mum, Olori Moyisola Sijuwade was supported by close friends and associates of Oba Sijuwade, including Alex Duduyemi and Otunba Kunle Ojora. The groom’s elder brother, Tokunboh Sijuwade and one of the directors at Sijuwade Group, Prince Razak Adele Adewole were also on hand to make the event a success.

The bride’s mum, Chief Mrs Remi Olowu also drew a colourful crowd of Lagos society women to the event.
And on October 10, 2015, the couple and their family moved to London to stage a white wedding. The second leg of the wedding according to those who attended, easily passed as ‘a food festival’ with African and foreign dishes plus wine – flowing throughout.

Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s daughter’s wedding
Lagos stood still on Sunday, August 16, 2015 when Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola gave out his daughter, Shakirat in marriage to her sweetheart, Abdul-Hafeez at the luxurious Grandeur Event Center in Oregun area Lagos.
What would you expect from a governor’s daughter’s wedding? Glam and class? Yes, the ceremony had it all.

Mofe Duncan
Nollywood actor and TV personality, Mofe Duncan married his Indian Nigerian girlfriend of many years, Jessica Kakkad in Lagos, on Saturday, August 22, 2015, and of course it was a very huge event. The white wedding took place at St.Gregory’s College, Obalende and a colourful reception, where guests were treated to a sumptuous meal, followed at the same venue.
The couple had earlier tied the knot in a grand traditional ceremony that was held on Thursday, August 20, at 3 Isheri Osun Fagbile Bus Stop, Ijegun Lagos.
Former Mr Nigeria, Bryan Okwara was saddled with the duty of Best Man. Juliet Ibrahim was one of the celebrities who graced the event.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s duaghter’s wedding
The daughter of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, Marylin walked down the aisle with her beau, Gbolahan Daramola, on December 19, 2015. The glamorous ceremony, which held at the Governor Okowa’s residence at Owa, Ika North-East Local Government Delta State, Nigeria, attracted top politicians, captains of industries and creme de la creme of the society.
The event also had ‘Ada Ada’ singer, Flavour N’abania performing to the delight of the couple, family and guests.

Mimi Orjiekwe and Charles Billion
Two years after they got engaged, Nollywood actor, Charles Billion finally married his fiancée and fellow actor, Mimi Orjiekwe in a traditional wedding which held in Enugu State on Saturday July 18.
The couple, who got engaged in July 18, 2013, while on vacation in Tanzania, did their traditional marriage exactly two years after. Lots of their friends gathered at Umuelem Village, Ichieke Achi, Udi in Oji River Local Government of Enugu State for the traditional wedding rites.
The groom and his people came all the way from Okuta- Ebelle Local Government, in Edo State to take their Igbo bride home.
A host of Nollywood stars were also present at the occasion to support the lovely couple. The likes of Mike Ezuruonye, Ruth Kadiri, Wisdom Macaulay, Chigozie Atuanya, Uche Ogbodo, Anita Joseph among others turned up.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s daughter’s wedding
The white wedding of Ajibola, daughter of Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi to his heartrob, Ayo which took place in Lebanon was one of the most talked about weddings of 2015.
It was a 3-day magnificent wedding. Activities commenced on Tuesday, September 8 and wrapped up on September 10.
The traditional wedding of the couple had earlier been held on Friday, August 22 in Ibadan at the Casalusio Events Centre. It also was a massive party, which saw the Governor and his wife sparing no cost to make it grand. South West APC governors, Rauf Aregbesola, Akinwunmi Ambode, and Ibikunle Amosun were on hand to rally round Ajimobi.

Yeni Kuti’s daughter’s wedding
On Saturday June 27, Yeni Kuti, daughter of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, gave away her only daughter, Rolari Segun in marriage to Australian Benedict Jacka at African Shrine on Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.
It was a high class traditional wedding as esteemed guests like former Lagos state governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (KWAM 1), and other dignitaries turned up.
The couple then proceeded to London for the white wedding on Saturday, August 15, 2015.
Afrobeat king, Femi Kuti accompanied his sister, Yeni, to attend the glamorous wedding.
The beautiful bride is a graduate of Philosophy from Leeds University in the UK.
Her father, Yeni’s ex-husband, the late broadcaster, Femi Segun, passed away in 2013.

Susan Peters
Top Nollywood actress, Susan Peters and her Dutch husband Croon, tied the knot traditionally in Benue State on October 24, after exchanging marital vows on October 10, at Ikoyi Registry in the presence of family and close friends.

Her court wedding was attended by prominent Nollywood stars like Demsond Elliot, Emem Isong and Rita Dominic, while the traditional wedding in her hometown was graced by Kate Henshaw and Nadia Buari.
The couple moved to Paris few days after for their honeymoon.

Tosyn Bucknor
This is one wedding many looked forward to in 2015 and it didn’t fall short of people’s expectation.
OAP Tosyn Bucknor and her French fiancé Aurélien Boyer performed their traditional wedding rites and reception on November 15.

On Thursday, November 5, 2015, Nigeria’s iconic ex-international, Segun Odegbami gave out one of his daughters, Funmi Odegbami in marriage to Solomon Sonaiya, a cousin to popular London-based entertainment entrepreneur, Ayo Shonaiya.
The event, which held in London attracted an array of bigwigs including 2015 presidential hopeful, Remi Shonaiya, who is an aunt of the groom.
Others in attendance include the bride’s younger sister and London based singer, May7even, DJ Abass and many others.

Lanre Makun is the younger brother of ace comedian AY.
The Ondo-born showbiz exec walked down the aisle with his boo, Joy Jeffery on Saturday, September 26 in Lagos.
The couple had earlier tied the knot in a grand traditional wedding ceremony in Mbiase, Imo State, which was graced by the groom’s two brothers, AY and Yomi Makun better known as Yomi Casual, as well as Gbenro Ajibade, Iyanya’s Manager Ubi Franklin, Akpororo, Ajebo among others.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Cynthia Obianodo
Media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu married his girlfriend, Cynthia, the daughter of Igbo billionaire, Vincent Obianodo, who owns Young Shall Grow Motors on October 3, 2015.
The traditional wedding, which took place in Obianodo’s house in Anambra state, had close pals of the ‘Rubbin Minds’ presenter including Mai Atafo, Noble Igwe, Tunde Demuren, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Dotun Cool FM among others in attendance.
The White wedding moved to Abuja, in yet another celeb-studded event that showed money and class matter in these things.
